As far as major international competitions are concerned, it is once again handball that will have the honor of opening the ball, with a Sweden-Poland pair as hosts.

From February 6, the world of sports will turn its gaze to the resorts of Meribel and Courchevel, theaters of the Alpine World Ski Championships.

The mountains will continue to be in the spotlight in the spring and summer, but this time in an uphill direction, with the return of the major cycling tours: the Giro from May 6 to 28, the Tour de France from July 1 to 23, the Women’s Tour de France from July 23 to 30 and the Vuelta from August 26 to September 17.

At the same time, Oceania and Asia will be the focus of media coverage, with the Women’s Football World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, and the Basketball World Championships in Indonesia, Japan and the Philippines.

But the big event of the year 2023 will be the Rugby World Cup, scheduled to take place in France from September 8 to October 28. With a team at the top of its capabilities, France intends to win its first title on its own soil, just like the footballers did 25 years ago.
