FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 – base camps spread across a continent

The 2023 Women’s World Cup is fast approaching, and the main participating teams have made their choices regarding base camps. These are strategic locations for preparing the athletes before and during the competition.

Two-time defending champions Team USA have chosen a base camp in New Zealand’s largest city, Auckland, and will train at Bay City Park.

Last year’s unsuccessful finalists, the Netherlands, have set up their base camp in Tauranga, in New Zealand’s Bay of Plenty region, and will train at the Bay Oval training center.

The French team, who lost out to the USA in the quarter-finals 4 years ago, have chosen Sydney as their base camp, and will begin their preparations at Valentine Sports Park 1. And as for the German and English women’s teams, both have chosen the Central Coast region of Australia as their base camp. The teams will train at the Central Coast Regional Sporting & Recreation Complex and Central Coast Stadium respectively.

VPI accompanies numerous professionals in Australia and New Zealand, and has taken up the challenge of accompanying its customers in this immense territory.
