On Saturday, July 5, 2025, Lille caught fire with excitement as it hosted the Grand Départ of the 112ᵗʰ Tour de France, marking the city’s third time kicking off the race after 1960 and 1994. The official launch will showcase 23 teams and 184 riders in a vibrant atmosphere set against the backdrop of the iconic Grand’Place.

This year’s edition, 100% French, promises 21 days of action, from explosive sprints to technical time trials and legendary climbs through the Alps and Pyrenees.
